  Don't think I understood the way a concussion works and really let M overdo it this weekend. Now making her stay in her dark room with no electronics and nothing to do but lay there. She is not a happy camper. The doctor said her headaches could last weeks. Saw her pediatrician and had a CT scan to rule out bleeding, but thinking she may need to see someone else? Looking for any suggestions from FB friends who have had concussed kids, and maybe a recommendation for a good concussion specialist in case she hasn't made significant progress by the end of the week?

  My son nick had a concussion and we sent him to a clinic that specializes in dealing With head trauma. He is in Pittsburgh so no referral for you but there must be something similar in Dallas. You could call the UPMC concussion program At 412 432 3681 for a possible referral in Dallas. Good luck!
