  Marianne V. wrote: On August 2nd, the pup named Pops left the Pensacola animal shelter with his new people. Pops was much loved by the staff and volunteers. But, his new “family” dumped him to starve in Panama City. Concerned citizens called Bay Animal Control about a sweet dog that had been roaming the neighborhood for a week. They picked up poor Pops. But did they save him? No. They needlessly euthanized him. He was chipped and friendly. All they had to do was call the number on the chip at either PHS or Paws and they would have taken him back in a second. I would be cautious about calling them to help an animal. You might be signing their death sentence. RIP sweet boy. I am sorry people failed you over and over again.

  Who do I call about an animal hoarding situation? Animal control? Theres a house a few streets from mine and on a daily basis I see about 20+ cats and kittens running across the street and in and out of their backyard. Its not fair to the cats and I want to know who I can call to get them help?
