I can appreciate that they needed to do demolition at my property to access the leak, and they did the job, but the customer service and communication were terrible. The worst I've experienced with a plumbing company. I had four different people communicating with me at various points in the process about breaking through walls to access pipes, and I had no idea what was going on until I finally got the owner on the phone to help me understand the total scope of the work. I live out of town, so you can only imagine how challenging this was. Then, at the end of the job, they charged my credit card for $1,225 before I ever saw an invoice. I did approve an estimate for services between $1,100 and $1,400, but I have never had a company run my credit card before sending an invoice and giving me an opportunity to see the charges, the terms of payment, and agree to them. Because I did not know they were going to charge my card, I ended up having to pay additional fees because the expense exceeded what was available in that account. This would have been avoided if I'd had a heads up (by way of an invoice) that payment was due immediately. Sometimes a person needs a few days to pull together over $1,000 to make a payment like that, and because they did not tell me they were going to charge my card, my account ended up overdrawn. I would hope TCH learns how to treat their customers with a greater level of empathy and respect. Even now, after sharing my dissatisfaction, I have been met only with defensiveness and ridiculous explanations for how I should have known better, including Jeremy circling a line on the invoice that said payment was due on the completion of services--an invoice I only received because I demanded it AFTER they had already charged my credit card.
