I know I can get 10X fur felt open-crown Western hats that would be perfect, if I could aspire to afford them, but I cannot. I'm also familiar with Truly Hats, which are gorgeous, but still a bit out of my price range. Also, I want the fun of decorating my own. The hat place in Berkeley, whose name I forget, used to have inexpensive ones, oh, twenty-five years ago. Searching now, I can't seem to find anything with a crown higher than about 6", which is Not High Enough. I'm looking for a minimum 7" crown, preferably 8" for my Enormous Arquebusseer and my own planned middle-class townswoman's kit. Leads? Anyone? Thanks for entertaining the question!
