  If you're really keen on the idea of having a logo, make sure to do it right and invest some money in the process. For design I would suggest using this service: http://99 designs.ca/logo-design . Instead of one designer giving you two or three options, dozens of designers will be working on your logos and give you dozens of options. And you can give feedback on the prototypes to help all the designers get closer to what you really want.
