  Hi Folks, taking my Fiance to the lakes this weekend for our anniversary. Do you have any recommendations for good restaurants to spend a couple of hours eating and drinking of an evening? We are staying near Keswick but I certainly don't mind driving up to maybe an hour or so. I look forward to reading about your favourite restaurants in the Lakes. (Not cafes please, as a keen lake district photographer I already know where all the best ones are. LOL)

  The Gate Inn at Yanwath is a really good old fashioned style inn with great food atmosphere and service. We have been twice and live nearby. However, it might take you 30-40 mins to get there. Comprehensive interesting menu and great wine. Not too expensive either but definitely special occasion. Check its reviews... http://www.yanwathgate.com/
