  Niamh do you already know what work you need doing? We had an excellent survey done, confirming what we did, and (more importantly) did not need, so we could get proper quotes. The company was Independent Specialist Surveys. www.independentspecialistsurveys.co.uk money well spent, saved our friend a couple of thousand and we hope will do the same for us.

  Or try a specialist, independent damp surveyor first (we used http://www.independentspecialistsurveys.co.uk). They will give you a detailed analysis of the cause of the damp and a clear action plan plus can advise on reasonable costs.

  CAN YOU HELP? One of our followers is looking for recommendations for a damp surveyor please? They have water penetrating through an exterior wall into their bedroom every time it rains.
