About us

My identical twin daughters inspired me to start creating cakes- hence the name "Double Take" cakes!! It started a year ago when I wanted to make their 1st birthday cake and has evolved into my creative outlet. I am a perfectionist (when it comes to decorating) and I have a huge sweet tooth which makes my cakes not only look cute but taste yummy too. I like the traditional chocolate and vanilla but I LOVE mixing flavors to make delicious combinations like pina colada- pineapple cake and toasted coconut frosting, strawberry lemonaid- strawberry cake and lemon frosting or white chocolate cake with fresh raspberry filling and whipped cream frosting. The combinations are endless. So whether it is a sheet cake, a 2 tier birthday cake, cupcakes, cake pops, chocolate molded pretzels..... even birthday banners (see pic under 2nd birthday) I Love to do them all.
