  HOME BUYING ADVICE?? I am looking for any advice on buying a home. I am young with new credit, not bad credit, just new and not much on it except a few small loans. I am not married. I just need to know what steps to take and if I can even get a home loan with little credit. I don't want any extravagant home, just enough for a family..   Mortgage people look at your fico scores. Which credit karma doesn't show. You can go on my fico.com and request your fico scores. It costs but it will pull soft inquiries. So it's not supposed to hurt your credit. That way once you decide to get pre approved you will know ahead of time. Bc when a mortgage company checks it it's gonna pull a hard inquiry. It's really confusing lol

  I mean if you request a score from fico it's supposed to pull a soft inquiry instead of a hard. That's what fico.com said. It says if you request a mortgage company it will show a hard inquiry on your credit.

  Mortgage hits do NOT pull down your fico score. All other inquiries do.

  Is that your fico? And if you go through capital one they have a cc just for increasing your credit. Donnie has one. But if you can get pre approved for a house don't apply for another card bc it can affect you on the terms of how much you can get approved for.

  google. Regardless of debt or credit, your income to debt ratio has to work out. Your home mortgage payment cannot be more than a certain percentage of your monthly income. IF you can't meet those two numbers, regardless of credit, the loan won't go through. DO NOT have your credit pulled for any reason except the mortgage when you know it's safe. Having credit pulled for the simplest thing will actually decrease your credit score. DO NOT close out any accounts-meaning-don't close out credit cards etc. CLosing them actually pulls your FICO score down a tad bit-which you don't want right now. DO NOT apply for any new credit except the mortgage.
