  DBS can help with other things besides medical services! 817 759-3500. Glasses help. Contacts help some. Surgery may help some. Low vision devices, adaptive technology.... There is a lot of help. DBS works with people of all ages! You can get ad vice, assistance.... I am a counselor who works with adults . There are children's program for children ten and under , transition program for age ten through either first successful semester of college or first job, then adult programs. It's free. When you call just say you want to talk to someone about blind services for children. They will ask for your zip code and should connect you to the person that covers your area.... Jennifer, Pam or Janice....or their assistant. We just moved , so if you have any difficulty just leave a message or call back. Remember at times we are out of the office seeing consumers or on the phone. We are happy to help !by the way, if you come to our office... Say hi! My door is the first office in the right. I might have to hold the baby, you know... Show her off to the coworkers a little... We love babies !
