  I need a back up photographer in case mine has something come up on the day or night I bring my third baby into this world.. I do not wish to go into detail on here about the circumstances but we will only have a short few minutes or hours with our baby before he's taken back to heaven so I would need some one willing to witness such a unique situation and be willing to come to the hospital.   Also, just FYI, this is a free service. If I am available, I come for free and you receive the digitals free as well. We have only one other local photographer who is affiliated locally with Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep and we can't guarantee our availability, but we do our very best to be there.

  You can find photography services though NLMDTS which is now I lay me down to sleep. All the photographers are screened your more likely to get the perfect photos. Photographing a stillborn is not an easy task or for the faint at heart.

  Erin, check out the website www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org! there is an application process and a website review to be approved. locally i train everyone that will be serving at FREEMAN .... that is their requirement and i believe it is a good one. I wouldn't ever want to throw someone in that wasn't ready. this involves shadowing several session prior to taking one on yourself. besides the photography there are some procedural things as well as tips on dealing with hospital staff that are very helpful.

You need to know something else...their is a free photography service called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, they can get free professional pictures in the hospital room with their baby if they want to.   Anyone know a photographer in the are who would be willing to help?! "Do you know anyone that would do a session after labor in the hospital in the SAN Francisco Bay area? I am due in Nov and my baby requires multiple heart surgeries. I want take sire that we have many photos of us with him and I can't find anyone there that does a session other than labor. They won't allow a photographer during labor due to the large staff that is required for the baby."

  PHOTOGRAPHERS: I have felt the need to mention to any and all photograpers in the area about a program call "And Now I lay Me Down to Sleep" and see if anyone locally has heard of them or is affiliated with them. I am not in need of the services, however I am sure at some point, unfortunately, someone locally will be in need of this information. I would highly reccommend any and all photographers to look into this program and see if you would be interested in doing this locally. I know if I was ever put in this situation I would be hoping someone would show me this type of compassion.
