  - I've got court on the 10th of February (yay me -__-) it's a pretrial for permanent guardianship of my in laws from an abusive and alcoholic situation with their mother. I will be alright representing me and my boyfriend in court, but would like to check my options for a lawyer. I know the court can appoint one, but how does it work? How do I go about asking for one? I need some type of legal representation that can voice our concerns. Anything will help, thanks.

  I believe the court will appoint one in criminal cases. When you go to court you can ask about an attorney depending on the situation. Some attorneys have to do bro bono work (free). Here's a good resource for you! http://massprobono.org/
