  I literally just did a segment on this for WFAA. Here is the blog post. I would start online to get a baseline price, i.e. Tirerack. Then call local stores like Discount Tire and see if they can do better. I was quoted $1200 at the dealership and got the best deal from Costco at $460 after some searching.
