About us
Located in the pretty village of Braithwaite with fab views of Skiddaw, we are a family-run hotel offering comfortable accomodation with 14 rooms ranging from single rooms to family rooms (sleeping up to 2 adults and two children).
We have a small, well stocked bar, serving award winning cumbrian real ales, real ciders & fine wines with an ever increasing selection of Malt Whiskies. We're proud to yet again be in the good beer guide...6 year on the trot!
Our restaurant serves generous and wholesome meals using fresh local produce to combine tradition hearty dishes with modern and inventive twists.

The first two were a HUGE success. When we moved it to allow other branches to host it, Andy and Liz (Branch POTY this year) continued with plenty of local interest. We went to the last a few months ago and it was fantastic. Great and creative chef using local produce and unique recipes, and very knowledgeable landlord. Wonderful. The v best!
