  Hi guys! So there's a stray female cat in heat that's been meowling like no other outside my apartment for a few days now. She's trying to get at my two males, I think. Does anyone know of a good trap-spay-release service? Or have suggestions on what I can do? She's very pretty and has a long cream colored coat, so she's adoptable. And not that skittish. Please advise, because her howling is literally nonstop and I need sleep!! Thanks :)

  Yes! You can get a free-roaming cat spayed fro $15.00. Sacramento SPCA has feral cat clinics on Sunday. Woodland shelter has traps you can borrow. www.sspca.org

  Email mmusser@sspca.org -- Marnie is the Volunteer Coordinator and can tell you when the next orientation is being held. There's also information on the website -- www.sspca.org -- under the heading "What you can do to help" There are LOTS of things that volunteers can do, from walking dogs to socializing cats & rabbits to set-up at fundraising events to being a cashier at the semi-annual book sales ... whatever your talents, the SSPCA can put them to good use :)
