  A question for the group: Now that the Mercedes is done, I'm thinking I need to deal with a couple of nagging aches- some Achilles pain and knee issues. They haven't been bad enough to stop me from finishing the marathon, but I don't want to turn them into a bigger issue. There is a half in April that I want to really race hard at, so would like to keep training if possible. I've been thinking about enrolling in a program like Strength Running from Jason Fitzgerald. Focus is on injury prevention. My wife is suggesting I find a good physical therapist. So...anyone you'd recommend? Perhaps someone who really understands running issues? Thanks in advance!

  Lee- I had an Achilles tear, surgery and rehab in 2012. I used Beth Pierpoint at Premiere Physical Therapy in Pelham. She is a runner, triathlete and does a great job, I would highly recommend her. Website is premierephysicaltherapy.com , hope this is helpful.

  I would also recommend Premiere physical therapy with Beth and they have many other good folks there too, like Samantha and Laurie. I'll also second the looking into Resolute Running, we focus on our running in a way that strengthens us and prevents injury; and they have a massage therapist. Gotta take care of the entire body!
