  *WARNING* ADRIAN FLUX I have three self-built vans insured with Adrian Flux on separate policies costing me more than £1800 per year which they are cancelling and not refunding for no good reason. They're being entirely ridiculous. I asked for a new quote on an ordinary panel van for business (which is separate to my camper-vans, obviously - they are just for fun) they say that I can't have a quote, and they are cancelling all of my policies without refund, because they've decided that I *obviously* use my camper-vans for business rather than just social, domestic and pleasure (which is not the case). This has made me very angry and lost me lots(!) of money. I will now need to spend hours getting quotes for my vehicles. Any recommendations for brokers who aren't total pricks?

  I'd start by sending them a few photos of your campervans, to show that they can't possibly be used for anything else. I'd include a letter explaining this, and also what the commercial van is required for. You may also wish to explain why you have three campervans - most people have just one - so try to allay their concerns, rather than fight them. If you choose to fight and they cancel your insurance, you may struggle to get reinsured ... anywhere.
