  A grkids.com mom Amanda is look for suggestions for preschool. She writes, "I work downtown and I am looking for a preschool program for my daughter a couple days a week. I would like a full day program. My daughter is 4 and a half. We don't qualify for any of the free programs, like GSRP or Head Start." Any suggestions/recommendations for her?

  A grkids.com mom writes, "Hello GR Moms! I have my oldest child in Preschool this year and couldn't believe that they were starting sign-ups for Kindergarten at my daughters school already. I am really struggling with this All Day Kindergarten idea, and wonder if anyone knows of some schools that are still doing every day half days or maybe 3 full days? My daughter has a August Birthday, so she will be just 5 when school starts, and I know she's ready mentally, but I am worried about the physical toll it will take on her. I am not really interested in a Young 5's program even though I have heard great things about them. I just really don't agree with this All Day Kindergarten an am looking for some alternatives. We live on the NW side of GR and I have not had any luck with my own searching. Help Please!"

  Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School and Rockford Christian School offer half day, 3 full day, and 5 full day kindergarten options - including Spanish Immersion.
