  My 40th Birthday is coming up and I would like to go out to dinner with my family this weekend to celebrate. My favorite food in the whole world is pizza....but not just any pizza. New York style pizza. Now if NYNY pizza was open we would go there...but they aren't open yet. So I need suggestions for pizza places that serve true NY style pizza. I hate Chicago style pizza. Joeys house of pizza is not open on Saturdays. So that's out of the question since we are going out Saturday evening. Please do not suggest any pizza place that does not serve true NY style pizza.   Two of my good friends are from NYC and they both say Sals is the best place when they lived here. They had not been to Desanos tho. NYC style pizza is copied from Italy. Desano imported there ovens from Napoli and gets all of its ingredients once a week from Italy. So I say if you like "NYC style" then go to Desanos and get the original of what NYC style copied. Also you can bring wine/beer there with no cork fee.Its not a fancy place, but it is fantastically tasting. http://www.desanopizza.it/
