I'm having some issues with my Prius so I called the Toyota dealership in Lakewood/Golden and made an appointment to have them look at it, to find out they were going to charge $130 an hour just to look at it. I took it to autozone to have them run the codes and such, but I want to have it looked at by a mechanic. Does anyone know of a place that isn't going to charge a huge amount just to tell me what is going on with it?

  Renee, repair quotes will differ depending on how much needs to be done. If you are replacing front brakes with rotors and the rotors can be resurfaced, the price will be less than if the rotors need to be replaced. Some shops (cheap quotes), sometimes will just replace the pads without resurfacing the rotors or thoroughly cleaning all the hardware or repack bearings. You really need to trust who ever is giving you the quote. Let me know if there is anything we can do for you. We have a fully equipped shop and service all the cars for our customers that purchase from us. I would certainly be willing to meet with you and help you understand what needs to be done.
