Before I get the spay lecture she was already pregnant when I got her as she has not been around another dog since I've had her. We were giving her a month to adjust to us before we took her to get spayed. I have had her for about a month so I am expecting puppies I'm assuming around a month maybe less. I am looking for recommendations for an affordable vet once the puppies are here for shots and health certs. Any suggestions are appreciated

  Ok, here are a few suggestions...I have not personally used these vets for my pets, but i've heard good things about them from my clients at the ER...you will have to call them for prices, etc: Dr. Metzler in Countryside http://metzlerveterinaryhospital.com/ Dr. Todd and Dr. Manfriedi@the Animal Hospital of Dunedin (not sure if that's too far) http://www.ahofd.com/ If you wanted to go a little north, there are some good ones in Palm Harbor- Dr. McGoldrick at the Vet Clinic of Palm Harbor is really good and reasonable from what I understand...I know he's taken in patients during regular business hours from the various ERs if they didnt have a regular vet and needed continued care...he works them in...definitely a plus in my book! Here's his website: http://thevetclinic.com Also, god forbid you need an ER after hours, but its best to be prepared...there is one at US 19 and Curlew Rd called Animal Emergency and Urgent Care...their # is (727)785-5755...I don't work here, and have never used them...I did work with one of their doctors at another ER and he was awesome...not sure if he is still there or not (Dr. Kelley)...north of them, on US 19, about 1/2 mile north of Alderman Rd...it's AA Animal ER Center...their number is (727)787-5402 and their address is 36401 US 19 N...also, there is Tampa Bay Veterinary Emergency at 1501 Belcher Rd S. (Belcher and 142 nd Ave N)...i worked there years ago and they are very good...their # is (727)531-5752...sorry for the long post, but wanted you (and anyone else reading this) the locations and phone numbers of the local ERs...

  my vet is in Dunedin, but I highly recommend them. I specifically take my pups to Dr. Todd but all of the vets there are great. When Dr. Todd isn't available I take them to Dr. Woodley. www.ahofd.com or their # is 727-733-9351
