How did you find a good one, and what kind of critera did you use to choose? I'm looking for someone in the Boston, MA area, if anyone has any recommendations. And yes, just in case, I'm going to prepare myself for the possibility of a repeat C-section. But I think a doula would be helpful in that case as well. So if anyone used a doula for a section, I'd love to hear how that went too!
sandra10251 replied:I had a doula with my first which turned into an emergency c-section. I had her again with my vbac and now for a 3 rd time in June. I wouldn't give birth without one. I would ask a potiential doula if she has experiences with vbac's and how she handles things if you have to have a repeat c-section. I found my doula at a birthing center in my area.
