    Wow, I have seen some good reviews and bad about this company. I am not sure why they treated me the way they did. I never use the race card, but I am an elderly Hispanic male living in a very affluent neighbor hood in the Cape. I think maybe he thought I should be working for him not the other way around. American home shield sent them out to repair a stand alone ice maker in the outdoor kitchen. They ordered a part that arrived 3 weeks later, I called to ask where the part was when I returned from visiting my home and family in Colorado, I was told it was not in yet 20 minutes later I was told that the part had just arrived. OK. The tech arrived and installed the part and as he was leaving said you should have ice in 48 hours. Keep in mind it is an ice make so there is no way to check it ASAP, like a refrigerator or dishwasher. I left Florida for a few day when I returned I check and it was pouring out warm water and no Ice. I called Baxter and spoke to the typical rude tech that is more worried about it being cost effective for him then to just come back out, Especially when he was already paid. The tech that originally did the repair was not in the office. I think he did not want to repair the others guys work and not get paid. I don't know or care. Like I said I stunned why this happened .The tech just wanted to blame me and told me that they didn't hook up the water we did. The ice maker had work for 6.6 years . He told me that he needed to know everything that was going on before they would come out because it was not cost effective. Why would you just not come out and check instead of giving me a hard time. Well, that did not go over very well. We engaged in a argument that went nowhere and ended with me telling him that at this point I had enough and if he should up I would smack him in the mouth and hung up. The problem here is AHS did not check on the repair before paying them. The way this man on the phone continued to talk to me, he is lucky we were not face to face. I can't understand why they did me this way and that's why I think it could be racial. So if your 100% white Mr. Baxter will treat you right. That should be there new jingle.
