So any of ya'll that have seen Booker's post on the Chihuahua Desert Bikefest in Feb and slightly thought about it here's a humble opinion....do it. In 2012 a group went out but I was a little skeptical about where to stay, how I would do riding in the desert, getting there, keeping up with a group, and didn't go. 2013 went ahead and made the commitment and was just thrilled afterwards. There are lots of options for a place to stay, camping, cabins, and hotels, the biking skills needed are quite manageable, the stuff that's really hard is really hard for most everyone, the guided rides are great and nobody gets dropped, and socializing with 450 mountain bikers is a blast. I went back again last year and had even more fun and am looking forward to 2015. Dig into Booker's Dec. 7 post and give it some serious thought.
