  I have taken a couple lessons at Dusty Strings in Fremont. My instructor was Barry Pollack who seemed to really now is stuff and was very enjoyable to learn from. I took group lessons, but I think they have individual ones as well. It also gave me an excuse to hang out in Fremont for a little while.
