Horrible man. Unprofessional. Do not let him in your home. Do not hire him! My project was to take 4-5 hours. Came at 8:00 am and wasn't done until 10:30 pm. All kinds of trips to the store, had tools that could not manage the job. Took longer but had no problem charging me for the time because he didn't have the proper equipment. After he left, we discovered two leaks but he will never be allowed back in my home. Was offended when I asked for an itemized bill. Bill showed labor $925 - parts $350. That's his idea of itemization. However, he did indicate that he didn't charge extra for those. How would I know? Trust him?? Right?? Instead of explaining the cost he was incurring he just kept saying, "I'm almost done." He broke a filter and replaced it himself. How would I know I didn't get charged for it given that great itemization! Took multiple personal calls. At one point I was standing next to him when some kid called yelling about his personal drama. I am pretty sure I was paying for that time too. My father-in-law was there while my husband was at work to make sure the job was being done. When my father-in-law questioned the time we were going into, this horrible, unprofessional human being starts putting him down to me. In addition, I called this man out in that I could hear them talking about my family. Yep, they thought my father-in-law was nice the day before but not today since he questioned the time being spent. I guess consumers don't have that right. Anyways, when I gave him the bill and politely told him I did not appreciate how he spoke about my family (not only what I overheard but what he said direct to me), he took my check and called me crazy. I totally wanted to stop payment but I'll be better than him. However, I will make sure that I tell as many people as I can to please not let his person into your home. He left the job without testing the line to the main shower. Sure enough, it leaks. The day after he left, my husband found a second leak. Now I will just wait to see if my entire house floods from his poor quality and workmanship. I strongly felt that this man struggled knowing what he was actually doing since he kept asking what was the hot line and the cold line. Keep searching for a plumber because this one isn't for you. He isn't worth taking a chance on. There are too many good people out there and he is not one of them. I believe his full name is Ed Ray. Finally, the job was simple. Cut into our present piping and put shut off valves at several spots my husband wanted for convenience. He looked at this job before...simple. no problem. he could handle it. Came to do the work without a tool small enough to handle the distance between the rafters and the plumbing and that was my problem and I sure paid for it. Waited for a month for him to "fit" us in. I wish so much at 4:30 p.m. when he told me he was almost done, I would have just asked him to leave and found someone else. He owed it to me to explain what kind of bill I was running into. I have shown photos and discussed with so many other people. They all know how badly we were taken advantage of. And to top it off, I got to be called crazy for defending my family against this offensive person. Be a smart consumer. Use the public records of the Wisconsin Circuit Court and search Ed Ray, Rock County. If you doubt anything you have read here, look for yourself and see if this is really the type of person you want in your home. I wish I had been smarter. Learn from my mistake.
