Dear Friend,
When you or a family member is aging, ill or injured, and their independent living at home is threatened: Where do you turn for needed Minor Home Repair, and Accessibility Modification?
If you’re like most in our community, you may attempt to apply for assistance to many local organizations …only to be told..”.You are income disqualified or “Our Waiting List” is 2 years long”. You may also try to call local handymen or contractors, and find your “ work” is too small ( in scope), or the cost is too high…
Enter Accessible West Virginia Association and our Flagship program: “ Handyman HouseCall”. We assist: Aging , Disabled,and Military Veteran clients with: needed small job repairs, and “ chores”, as well as, Provide Home modifications, to make the client’s home accessible for independent living, so they can remain in their homes, or return to their homes after incident, surgery, or a disabling condition advances..
Being Based on a: “ Needs Model” and “Class” qualification, rather than a "Gross Income" Disqualification. You, or your loved one; can get the service(s) that they need, when they need them.
Now, that you know: That you WILL receive needed services and modification resources to assist you, or your loved one, live more independently in their Own Home...without, the burden, of the thought: "How Can we afford this?
You can, also, know that you’ll be treated " like a real person",(with dignity and respect) by dedicated, compassionate, caring professionals in a warm, caring environment.
Know that: Your contributions, have helped make this Association; a valued resource for many. We are so grateful, to you, for supporting our mission and expanding our ability to serve our clients.We were hoping to have the funds and lawyer needed to file for 501C Tax Status, But, so far, we have not. Your Donations are not currently tax-deductible, unless you choose to send them through Our Partner; " Universal Life Church of... show more Fairmont at ulcfairmont.org. The funds still go directly to this work, they have offered to help us keep the program going!
Thanks to you, our Association has touched the lives of hundreds – whether they faced: a Natural disaster ( Flood relief and SnowStorms that locked them into their homes) or an urgent need, a devastating disease, or, simply, sought to improve their quality of life, or remain in their home longer.
AWVA is Your community Association, and Public Charitable Association. We exist to serve you and your loved ones – to provide hope, service(s), information, and advocacy.
In this uncertain economic time, AWVA counts on your support – now more than ever.

As, this future progresses, especially for us in West Virginia, Seniors, Veterans, and Disabled' “fixed income” is matched against ever-increasing costs- So, The need for our assistance is growing, and We Want to be "there" as a resource..

We are an Open-Source Public Charitable Unincorporated Association, with the exempt purpose: of improving quality of life, for our citizens, through direct action, education, information, and referral.
We are also an: " Open Books Charitable Association" which means any time anyone wants to look, No need for FOIA, We open the books for your inspection!
We rely upon volunteers and professional contractors to do some of this work. Our Crews are led by a field expert/specialist; and All are insured, as well as, security clearance/background checked. So, you can know that; Mom, Dad, or Family is safe and secure. show more

We did get a few folks some assistance for the winter storm accumulation and Freezing temps, Busted Pipes and damages.. Would have been a lot easier if our Governor declared a disaster.
