  Is there anywhere to get my dog's nails cut near town? He is an 11 year old dog and is slowing down. So even though we walk him, he just isn't wearing them down like he used to. He needs them cut pretty bad and I had a bad experience cutting doggy nails many years ago, so I will not be trying it!! He is a dalmation/pointer mix and a big baby!

  I'm assuming that since your profile states you reside elsewhere that you are in the area from time to time...I'd suggest taking your dog to a vet...quick procedure in a "medical" environment.I use Village Veterinary Clinic on Elm Street (near Eason Hall),phone (716) 326-8800.It recently cost me $18 just to have my cat's nails trimmed as she didn't require any other services at the time.I'd also recommend Westfield Veterinary Hospital (8494 West Main Road...Route 20),phone (716) 326-3933 or 326-7387. You are wise not to attempt this task yourself.

  Wednesday morning is walk-in day at Westfield Veterinary Hospital (on rt 20) I take my dog in to get her nails trimmed then. There's only the nail fee - no service charge

  NOT Dr. Rogers several people ,and our pets Including me, had VERY bad Treatment there!!! IHe use to be good no more! Go to Dr. Sarah Johnson, she is in Westfield, has a WED. $25. Walk in Clinic 8:00 am-11:00, some Friday afternoons.and in Dunkirk the rest of the time. she bought the Clinic 716-363-6373

  Westfield Vet Hospital, they have an office in Dunkirk, really nice place, awesome dr's, very clean and they have different programs there that you can save money for example vaccinations for life, you pay like $49 a year and all vacs are free, you would pay for tests and such but they also have different insurance policies that you can choose from. 326-3933, tell them you would like the Dunkirk office
