About us
Saenger Guitar is owned and operated by Chicago musician, Dave Saenger. Dave is a versatile guitarist and teacher in the Chicago area that excels in styles ranging from classical to jazz to rock. He earned his B.M in Commercial Music (classical guitar emphasis) from Millikin University and M.M. in Jazz Studies from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. Dave has taught privately for 16 years and currently teaches at the Frances Xavier Warde School in Chicago and Midwest Music Works in Des Plaines.
Some of the groups Dave performs with are: Diana and the Dishes (pop/rock), V. Holmes, "A Tribute to the Motown Greats," and The Booty Movement Coalition (improvised funk). Dave is also active in the Chicago theater community by playing for such shows as: Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar, Tommy, and Rent, among many others.
