  The school district can test them, but if they are on the autism spectrum and are going to need therapy, she is going to need a medical diagnosis for her insurance. I would go to the pediatrician and ask for a referral to a developmental pediatrician that can do that. A great one is Dr. Rios in Grapevine. It is usually a 4 part process and can take several weeks, so the quicker she can start the better. Early intervention is absolutely key! http://www.developmentalpediatricstexas.com

  Don't think that I've seen this come up - but I'd like to hear from parents of children with Autism (Aspbergers) and ADHD in Flo Mo with references for developmental pediatricians and child psychologists for 4-5 year olds. I'd also like to know of support groups in the area as well as schools you're happy with.
