About us
My name is Nicole. My husband and I are parents to a wonderful girl. I had a trying journey getting pregnant and this sparked my interest in pregnancy, natural childbirth, and breastfeeding. I had a natural birth while in the care of experienced midwives and even with multiple barriers, I breastfed my daughter for 31 months.
I have over 13 years experience in Early Childhood and Infant and Toddler Education working with children from age 6 weeks+. I then decided to take a step further and train to be Doula. In 2012 I completed my DONA (Doulas of North America) International Birth Doula course at Douglas College and in 2013 I took the DONA international Postpartum Doula course at Douglas College.
When I’m not working as a Doula I am a Children and Youth Counsellor, Parenting Group Facilitator and Parent-Child Mother Goose Facilitator at a non-profit agency. I am also a Buddy up for Breastfeeding Volunteer with Fraser Health. I offer breastfeeding phone support for new mothers who may be experiencing breastfeeding challenges.
My passion is providing emotional support, physical comfort measures and an objective viewpoint, as well as helping women and families get evidence based information they need to make informed decisions.
