About us
Betelnut is an Asian style beer house specializing in Southeast Asian cuisine served in the traditional family style. Here at Betelnut, large mugs of beer complement emphatically fresh and tantalizing "street food" made with fresh local ingredients and regional spices that tend to be on the hotter side. Our head chef Alexander Ong began his culinary career in Malaysia at the 600-cook kitchen of the Shangri-La Hotel. His creativity keeps Betelnut thriving as one of the Bay Area's most popular & successful restaurants.
We love accommodating private parties and large groups and would be happy to work with you in creating a theme for your special event. Cocktail parties, luaus, after-work gatherings and more are all welcome!
