Being a globally authorized reseller of certification authorities (CAs), SSL2BUY sells trusted SSL certificate products for web and ecommerce security. Best Certificate Authority for Windows besides StartCom? When Chrome version 56 is released in January StartCom and WoSign certs will no longer be trusted. Can anyone reccomend the next best option for a free/cheap certificate authority for Windows services?
I know LetsEncrypt would be the way to go but I need to to protect Windows services like RD Gateway and IIS, not just Linux. I've seen the [ACMESharp Powershell library](https://weblog.west-wind.com/posts/2016/feb/22/using-lets-encrypt-with-iis-on-windows) but they are incomplete and janky.
Any help from fellow Homelabbers?
Edit: After some research this post was very enlightening: https://serverfault.com/questions/599219/how-to-decide-where-to-purchase-a-wildcard-ssl-certificate
Essentially there are only two factors to worry about. Price and website pleasantness. There's a lot of gimmicks and branding. I'm going with https://www.ssl2buy.com/alphassl-wildcard.php

I use ssl2 buy.com for my wildcard certs. They issue AlphaSSL certs for $42 a year for wildcard

I'd love if someone can get LetsEncrypt to work with RD and IIS. But I'd recommend whatever you can find that is cheapest. I've been looking at SSL2Buy or Namecheap. Haven't commited yet
