About us
guess with any story it’s best to start at the beginning. My name is Ellie and I am just shy of thirty. I have had a passion for photography since the age of 16; it’s always been an avenue of expression for me. I was always creative and vocal while growing up but struggled to express it through words and writing. I am dyslexic and at times find it very frustrating.
However ,photography set me free and made me extremely happy. I could express my feelings and emotions visually and it helped me see the world in new ways.
Believe it or not, though it was a struggle most of the time, education has been my best friend, so naturally I studied photography to a high level. Where I gained a first class Hons in my BA photography degree and this is probably the second most thing I am proud of, the first being the birth of my son, Toby. My son is my inspiration and what drives me to pursue my dreams.
I have in the past worked in all areas of photography from commercial high street portrait photography, wedding photography to events photography, gaining lots of experience and getting to meet lots of people.
I think at the heart of it all, I just love people. I love peoples stories, their life’s and listening to their journeys and future plans. We all want to feel connected in some way and photographing people creates this sense of connection. There a transaction between the photographer and person being photographed and it’s captured in that one moment forever.
From this I think I have organically grown into a baby-ographer, mixing my background of fine art photography and a passion for people has lead me to this genre of New born portraiture. A place I feel very content :)
In my work, I aim to capture those dreamy moments of a New borns life, to allow you to ponder those little personalities that at 7 days new are already forming. I want to capture and save the, soft, pure and innocent moments of a new baby. I want to explore all the tiny little features of the little miracle... show more before me and give them to mum and dad to treasure forever. I want to create beautiful Newborn and children’s portraits that you can consider as art.
