Vistancia A. asked:MVC GYMNASIUM CLOSED The MVC Gymnasium is currently closed. Last evening, March 17 at approximately 8:45PM extreme vandalism and destruction occurred. We are in the process of observing video footage and filing a police report. The gym needs to be cleaned and may take a couple days to complete. If anyone has any information or who may have been involved please contact the Association Office at 623-215-8646. We will notify residents once the clean up is complete and open. Thank you!Kyam S. replied:I live in Canterra and it's not unusual for me to hear skateboards and loud voices from Sunset Park and Vistancia Elementary after midnight.Ellie V. replied:This is happening to much! We pay the price as residents as we pay for damages. Every time we are at the pool there are groups of boys (always different ones) Running up and down the slide when its turned off and messing with pool equipment. One of the times their parents WERE WITH THEM. My fiance went up to ones that appeared to be 8 th graders and scared the crap out of them BECAUSE he pays HOA damage just like everyone else. They have no respect for the security up there and laugh in the guys face.These arent the "bad kids" they are the normal vistancia elementary kids. I don't think anyone should be shy about walking up and saying something if they see this behavior going on especially of you do pay HOA fees . Their own parents clearly aren't parenting and as they say it takes a village. Don't let spoiled punk kids damage property as you stand there. The police have been called numerous times for sexual harassment against residents,violence, pot smoking, and vandalism It only seems to warrant a warning.
