  I recently decided to take the plunge and look for a local garage instead of the dealership for our car and ended up going to [Medaglia Auto](http://www.medagliaauto.ca/) based on a recommendation. I had a bunch of stuff done (brakes, spark plugs, oil, etc) and I was involved in all the decisions and there was no pressure at all. The owner was totally upfront, very obviously knew his work inside and out and the prices were WAY better than the dealer. My immediate impression was totally positive based on my own experience and watching other people interact with the various employees. Check them out.

I am just wondering if anyone can recommend a mechanic that charges fair prices and does a good job? I don't want just a guy with lots of experience, I would prefer to take it to a business but I don't want to take it to the Honda dealership we bought it at as i'm sure that would be a lot more expensive.
