About us

Hugs and Bugs was created because of the love and desire I have to teach children. The following information will give you an idea of how well prepared your child will be for Kindergarten if you enroll now!
Students currently enrolled for the 2014-2015 school year:
Summer To Do List:
-Read aloud together 20 minutes daily. As you read, run your finger below the words as you say them This will help your child associate spoken words with written words, and also expose him to the left-to-right direction of print.
- Visit the library regularly.
Curriculum/weekly schedule:

• Handwriting: Children will learn the proper way to hold a pencil/crayon. They will learn how to form letters correctly, capitals and lower case. They will also write on "line" paper and write their first and last name.
• Oral language: Speaking and listening. Children will be asked to talk about books that have been read to them, to ask and answer questions and sometimes retell or summarize the story.
