About us
We are a group of friends and artists who share a love for cosplaying and the cosplay community, united in memorium of our dear friend, Shannon Neprilly, who lost her battle against breast cancer in March 2014. You will live on in our hearts forever, Shannon.
In 2012, an idea in the back of Casey Brown's mind was brought to life, and with the aid of co-chair, Gina Greco, Cosplay for a Cure was born. This one-of-a-kind event was built from the ground up with love and passion to help raise awareness, fund research, and find a cure for breast cancer.
Cosplay for a Cure is a non-profit, photo booth style event run at comic book, sci-fi, gaming, and anime conventions in the GTA and surrounding area. As fans ourselves, and we are lucky enough to be part of such a diverse and wonderful community who have been infinitely receptive and supportive of our cause since day one. Our main goal is to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation by allowing convention-goers to have their photo professionally taken against our backdrop, and printed for as little as $2. All proceeds from the booth are forwarded to the CBCF.
