  I have a question for my brothers across the state. For the past several years, Hiram 40 has been using a Phone Tree machine to remind the craft of our stated communications and other things that need to be sent quickly. The problem is that as keeper of the machine, I no longer have a land line to connect it to. Many of my brothers no longer have one either. Is there any lodge out there that is using some kind of web based service that does the same thing?? If so, what is it and most importantly what is the cost. Thanks.

  When I was master of Laurinburg Lodge, I used www.callingpost.com It was an easy to use program and you can either create your messages using the 1-800 number or via the net. I had approximately sixty members on the list and we mainly used it for last minute notices, i.e. funerals, emergents, etc. I think it cost around $40-50 for the year to make the calls. You can easily upload your membership to the website using MS excel.
