  Anne, I had a really good ophthalmologist when I lived in NYC: Dr. Susan Margolis 212-751-5414, 340 E. 49 th St. However, I would go immediately to the Eye & Ear ER. You don't wanna mess with your eyesight and this sounds serious! Best of luck.
