We had quite a few changes to our policy and an additional policy and Tommy the representative was right on it and did a great job. We need to do something very quickly last night at the end of the workday, and he was right on it, took care of our issues and everything that we needed done, so I would say they're most excellent at Rice insurance we're very happy. Thank you.

  Hi all, I am new to the group and looking to purchase a home in Orting. I have been told we need a flood evaluation certificate at the cost of $2000! I have made a few calls and it seems the going rate is about $700, but was told flood insurance could cost $2000 a year. I was hoping that people that live in the community could give me some insight on this since I can't seem to get a solid answer from Google! Thanks in advance!

  Our home backs up to the river, so it was required. We were able to get a copy of the original elevation certificate from the city to use. Even with our flood zone, we were still able to get our coverage for $350 or so per year. Contact Shane Vander Giessen at Rice Insurance...he is amazing! 360-734-1161, ext 1354. Tell him I referred you. He would take great care of you! :)
