I desperately need a change from my shoulder-length dark brown virgin hair and am looking for a colorist who is experienced in (and up to date with) hair color trends like pastels, gray, platinum blonde. I've tried looking for Austin salons on Yelp, but I didn't find anywhere specializing in these specific styles. I've been pretty DIY with my hair in the past, but I'm thinking in this case I should probably go to a salon! Can anyone point me in the right direction? OR, if you have had pretty good results in bleaching your own hair for the purpose of getting it to a pastel color or gray, can you give me some tips and a pep talk? Thanks!   Try MJ at Dolce (http://www.dolceaustin.com/). She knows color (always has it herself), is great at styling, and will be honest with you on how far you can go without ruining your hair.
