Dr. Michael Swinyard has been a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist for the past 20 years. He is a member of the medical staff at Primary Children's Medical Center. Previously, Mike was Medical Director of the Diabetes Program at Primary Children's Medical Center. He has had type 1 diabetes mellitus for 33 years.
Chad Barnett, PA-C, MHE
Chad has been a pediatric physician assistant for the past seven years (two years in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology for the past five years). He received his Physician Assistant degree and Master of Health Education from the Idaho State University. Chad is fluent in Spanish.
Carol Jensen, RN
Carol has worked in pediatric endocrinology for 7 years. She is an active member of the Pediatric Endocrinology Nursing Society and serves on its education committee. She received her nursing degree from Ricks College in Idaho. Her young adult son has had type 1 diabetes mellitus for 15 years.
Sandra Malko, RPh, CDE
Sandra has worked in the pediatric diabetes field for over 15 years as a registered pharmacist. She is a guest lecturer at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy and is an active member of the Association of Diabetes Educators in Utah (ADEU). She received her pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE).
