Does anyone know an expert who can extract data from a broken external hard drive? Louis-Eric Simard, Eric Lancheres, Matthias Elsdoerfer...

If it's just the enclosure, just open a desktop computer and plug in the drive as a second hard drive. You may want to check if it appears in the BIOS. You don't need to buy anything. If you don't have a desktop and can't do it on someone else's desktop, you can buy an enclosure at Microbytes. They cost between $15 to $35. You unscrew your enclosure and take the drive out, take it to them and have them show you which one you need (though you'll be able to tell just by reading the drive specs).
