  Can anyone recommend a very good physical therapist in or near Oxford - someone that has really helped them recover from an injury? It needs to be someone primarily trained in a 'mainstream' treatment (e.g. physiotherapist) but with a broad / holistic approach. I have a back / disk injury that I am working on.

  Slip discs in the lower back are usually because of muscles pulling on the vertebrae, usually due to spasm in the Quadratus Lumborum, and or Illiopsoas. Both of these muscles are incredibly emotional. The root would be in an emotional/psychological pain being expressed by you in the body because you just won't listen and stay attentive to it, accept its messages. I can certainly help, although remember whatever this is it has got to the point that it has pulled one of your spinal column joints this far off centre. There is alleviation which will make you feel once again numb to the message or there is facing it as loving master of your own bodymind. I imagine it has either taken a long time until the joint finally gave way, or you had a recent accident/trauma to help it along? Which? or neither?
