  Pediatrician recommendations? So, I'm currently pregnant and will be delivering at St Thomas Midtown in a few months (if I don't get stuck in traffic on 24 trying to get there from Smyrna). I'm starting preliminary research for a pediatrician who works with St. Thomas so they can make sure everything is good when our daughter arrives. I do not want to have to drive all over town right after pushing a (hopefully very dainty) bowling ball through my lady flower. Someone who can come and vaccinate/vitamin k the heck out of my newborn at my bedside would be peachy. My husband and I don't know any parents/people with kids, so we don't really have anyone to ask. Help? We have good insurance (Cigna), which most providers take. I just have no earthly idea what to look for in a pediatrician. Who do I ask? When I meet with pediatricians, what should I look for? Who do you like? Dislike? Thanks!

  Pediatric Associates of Davidson County is amazing. They are on Murphy Road downtown. We have seen every Dr in the group and they are all great. Never have a problem getting an appt either. 615-329-3595

  Looking for the BEST pediatrician in the area. We've tried a few different places already in the Hermitage area and I just haven't been impressed with the level of care. Looking for someone who has a wealth of knowledge around infants and toddlers, good bedside manner and easy to talk to. Willing to travel outside of Hermitage as well for an excellent doctor.   I can't say enough about Dr. Mary Keown. She has been a Nashville "landmark" for 20 years...she is the one you see on the news giving advise, etc... someone suggested her and her office (which is awesome) to me when I was about to have my daughter 9 y ears ago. She's so amazing. She held my child before I did! Very dedicated, loving, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her nurse, Libby, is fantastic as well. Here is her information: 2201 Murphy Ave, Ste 201Nashville, TN(615) 329-3595; Any of the pediatricians at Pediatric Associates....all are fantastic and LOVE "their babies." Her office is open on Saturdays until 1 pm for sick lil ones. During emergencies, she has called me personally and given me the best advise and has always shown so much care for my daughter.

  Dr. William Davidson of Pediatric Associates 615-329-3595. My sons have seen him for 15 years. He never has his hand on the doorknob ready to see the next patient. He gives you his time, undivided attention and expert medical care. Dr. Davidson has privileges at both Vanderbilt and Baptist. The other doctors in his practice are also exceptional, especially Dr. Mary Keown.
