Looking for suggestions for moving companies Moving in a few weeks and have moved myself for years, but this time around I 1) make a bit more money and 2) am moving to a busier neighborhood and don't want to have to worry about parking for a rented truck. I've never really looked into movers in the Chicago area, so I'm curious if anyone has any good suggestions that you have experience with in the past.
I don't have much in terms of hard requirements. The cost will be split between my roommate and I and we are going from 2bd/1ba to another 2bd/1ba, so we don't have a lot of stuff, mostly the basics. Appreciate any and all feedback!

I’ve personally used, and referred clients of mine, to [New City Movers](https://www.newcitymovers.com). Reasonable pricing. Movers did an awesome job for my family last summer.
ISO a recommendation for a local mover that will take tvs off the wall and install in new place as well as moving me. I tried MK. They seem nice but they don't offer the extras. Any thoughts?

These guys are great. Moved us from Villa Park to Elgin in 4 hours; door to door; wrapped the TV and all the furniture. Polite and they worked! https://www.newcitymovers.com/
Anyone know a cheap reliable mover in north/northwest Chicago? I've found some moving companies through google with good reviews but the quotes are extremely pricey. I don't have a lot of items to move and the job can be done in 1hr since I'll only be moving 4 blocks.

I recently moved and used new city moving in december. However, I was moving a single family house of 4 people approximate 6 miles to another single family house. It took about 8-9 hours total and it cost me just under $1500, which I thought was a really good deal. The amount I actually paid was like $100 less than the original quote. http://www.newcitymovers.com/
all right...the 11th hour is near...and we're still in a pinch. I need movers for NEXT WEEK and most of the major companies are booked up. Anyone have any suggestions?

Was New City booked up? My friends and I swear by them because they're friendly and careful and usually much cheaper and faster than they quote, which means they can squeeze more appointments in. http://www.newcitymoving.com/
Okay, Chicago peeps: what movers do YOU highly recommend? I already have Move Tastic booked but there may be a moving date issue so I need a backup. Thanks!

I got these folks as a reference from a friend that just moved: http://www.newcitymovers.com/
I was wondering if any of my Chicago-land Facebook friends can recommend a good moving company. We'll need three or four guys who know what they are doing and have a good truck.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
