I had the same problem, x refusing to sign or do anything. A friend who also had difficulties with the X recommended Elainie Honjas, 408-292-4849. She has been very good and knows her stuff. She was also listed with my works discount services so you might try for referral before contacting her if your work has such a thing. Not having an attorney is the easiest and it would be nice if you can do it - many do. However, your entire life savings and retirement is on the line plus a load of potential liability.
