  Hi everyone - I’m looking for a Heating Engineer that could come out urgently to Lower Earley as we have virtually no hot water (but heating is still working fine). We have a Worcester Bosch boiler and a Gledhill Boilermate tank with a thermostatic blend valve - we think it could be the valve that’s failing / not passing fully Been like this for over 24 hours and we have two young children. Have tried various recommended people on this group but availability / timescales are a big issue at this time of year. Thanks all

  Are there any heating/boiler engineers here that could help please? I had no heating/hot water on Thurs night, turned boiler off and on again, that didn't work then it started making strange noises so turned it off. I had someone come out on Fri through home emergency cover with my house insurance. He thinks the boiler is overheating and a blockage is causing it. He took a water sample as thinks its sludge in the system, but that will take a week or so to get the results. I spoke to my insurance company today who say they won't cover it if it is sludge, so I need to find someone myself who can come and have a look for me. It's an old Baxi Solo boiler. Thanks
