About us
Oakdale Veterinary Group (OVG) was founded in 1979 by Doctor Cal and Robin Cadmus. In 2013 they were joined by Dr Ned Trathan, who later went on to purchase the hospital from them in 2016. Ned was joined by Dr Anita Zifer in 2018. Together they are passionate about delivering a quality service to the 7000 clients who bring their pets to OVG.

Despite being made aware that pet was out of medication at home and in severe pain office staff cited an 'annual visit' as reason for refill denial. When further questioned on their decision to not honor the parameters of their own prescription, office staff simply stated "technically we reserve the right to not approve a refill." I agree: technically they do reserve that right, being the prescribing office. However, technically the prescription is not only active but has over 20 remaining refills, therefore rendering their decision as not only flippant but unsubstantiated. There is a boundless lack of integrity and ethics that this staff operates on. *BEWARE: At any time, the office staff can halt your pet's recurring prescription with no notification or substantial reasoning. Weigh your options and the risk you're willing to take with your pet's health. **Medication was ordered well in advance, however, the office continued to reject the prescription request without notifying me. I was left waiting for a delivery that was never going to come. This happened *twice* and they didn't say a thing to me. By the time I was able to figure out what was happening, she was well out of her pills and in excruciating pain.Was this review helpful to you? -
